This is not a complete list of remixes TGU have done. There's some we've forgotten about, and some we'd rather forget about....here's some favorites...

 

2005

Kadim Al Sahar: Baghdad (Kathora al Hadeeth)
Possibly the biggest star to ever come out of Iraq, this remix of his tribute to his home city appeared on the compilation album ‘Rock the Casbah: Songs of Freedom from the Streets of the East.’ EMI

 

Natacha Atlas: Leysh Nat’Arak
TGU remix their own production of Natacha’s second single from her first solo album. Appeared on the compilation “The Best of Natacha Atlas” MNTCD1036

Oojami: Ali
From the album 'Urban Dervish,' second album by the London band that grew out of the Hubble Bubble club. Hubble Bubble HB1 www.oojami.co.uk


Zion Train: Zion High (Zion Hai Hai mix)
After Perch from Zion Train helped out on 'Impossible Broadcasting' TGU repaid the favour with this mix on the album 'Original Sounds of the Zion - Remixed' WWCD038 www.wobblyweb.com


Al Yaman: Gusun al-Gawa
Froma the album `Hurriya,' the debut release by the excellent Czech-Yemeni fusion band TGU have done a number of gigs with. Indies Records, MAM234-2 www.al_yaman.cz

Banco de Gaia: Amber
From the album called '10 Years Remixed' which as the name suggests is a remix album of the compilation '10 years of Banco de Gaia.' TGU appear alongside lots of old friends including Zion Train, Dreadzone, Temple of Sound, ADF etc. Its on Disco Gecko recordings, www.bancodegaia.net

Recycler: ‘Sensi and Foxy’ Came out on a 12” promo only…we wait and see if it comes out anywhere else!

Maharajah: Maro Jailo
Maharajah were previously called Musaffir, who worked with TGU on the album ‘Rejoice Rejoice.’ Available on the German compilation KARMACULTURE 2 on Indigo Records www.copint.com

The Fatback Band: Yum Yum TGU had the privelige of remixing this funk classic on the album FATBACK REMIXED, Southside Records CDSEWD139

Continental Drifts CONTDRIFT007 Exactly what it says on the tin.

Hakim Remix: Slam FS298:
A whole album of remixes by TGU of Egyptian vocalist Hakim. Hakim mixes modern Egyptian pop with Shaabi, a more earthy, bluesy style, and is one of the country's top performers. Available in a cassette stall near you! (if you live in Cairo). Due out on CD soon.

Trip to the Andes: Tumi TMDCD2
An album inspired by samples from INCA QUENA, an album of pre-hispanic Inca music by Int Raymi. Also features Fun-Da-Mental, U-21Q, Youth, Finitribe, Astralasia and others.

Pinkie Maclure: Hedonistic: PLACEBO PILL 11CD
Berlin 1929 / Paris 1931 mixes. Ep by horribly underrated British singer.

Pop Will Eat Itself: 'Two Fingers My Friends' Remix album: INFECTIOUS 10CDR Cossack in UFO encounter confusion.

Global Sweatbox. Nation Records Remix Album NR015CD
TGU remix 'Stotinki' by Space Cadets (featuring Natacha Atlas and Aki Nawaz).

Rather lovely re-mixes of Grotus and Headbutt appear on 'Interplanetary Meltdown'....see albums.
